Maman Kangourou Amerigo Wrap

I have a few different carriers, but my Maman has a special place in my heart. This beautiful piece of fabric is five metres long and Canadian Made! I can’t disagree with that!

“All our products are made with great respect towards the environment, they are woven, dyed, made entirely in Canada, easy to use, comfortable, secure and ergonomic. “

-Maman Kangourou

More PROS;

It has six different ways to wear it, comes in a variety of colours and is available at Babies’R’Us all across the country. It isn’t like your regular Snugli pack carrier, because it is so comfortable to wear. It also doesn’t accentuate your back fat, which, let’s get real here, it KEY.

It is one size fits all, so even if you’re still carrying your baby weight or you’re between sizes you don’t have to worry about it being a little too big/small.

CONS;

There are not many! The only obstacles that I have run into are times when you’re at a store with your baby and you have to either come pre-wrapped or wrap it in the parking lot when you’re taking you little one out of their car seat. Or, when you have a baby that doesn’t like to be put down. They are not easy to wrap around a squirming fussy baby because the wrap material is so dense.

Although there is a way to carry it on your back, you do need another person to help you put your baby in, and even though I have seen wraps where you can put your baby on your back yourself, I wouldn’t trust this wrap to do that. I would be worried that the wrap is not wide enough to securely hold a baby while transitioning them onto your back.

Lastly, the pocket has both a pro and con. It is great because you can always locate the middle of your wrap easily and have an even wrap all the time. It is pointless though. When you are wrapping your baby, the pocket isn’t very useful.

You could possibly store your phone in there or something small, but realistically when it is tied (mind you this is mostly when the baby is facing out, because Monster would rather be that way) the pocket scrunches up and putting anything inside of it makes it bulky.

This could be bypassed if you do a front facing kangaroo style tie, but that is only if your little one is okay with having their feet inside and covered up.

All in all, amazing wrap. Affordable! Essential.

I am giving it a 4.5/5. It would score a perfect 5, but I would like to see it a little wider where the pocket is and maybe a little longer. It would just make me feel a little more secure then trying new ties. Great gift idea, and a great way to support a Canadian business. If you don’t have one, I suggest you look into getting one!
